ProWeb – Other Configuration Options

In addition to the Configuration options mentioned in the other articles, there are a few more custom configuration options for you to use within your office. These include customized Consent Forms, Custom Credits, Office IP Whitelist, Question Templates, Tags, and Taxpayer Profiles.

To create your custom Consent Forms, click Select next to Configuration:

  • Click Select next to Consent Forms
  • Select +Add to Add Consent Form
  • Name the Consent Form and provide Description
  • Display Disclosure Limitations allows you to determine if any limitations may be specified  
  • Required for Efile allows you to require the consent before efile
  • Select the + next to Consent Form Terms 
  • Name the Term and either select Input Only or specify the Definition for the term
  • When you are finished, click the check mark next to the term to save
  • Save the Consent Form 

To create a Custom Credit from the Configuration menu:

  • Click Select next to Custom Credit
  • Select +Add to Add Custom Credit 
  • Name the Custom Credit
  • Determine if the credit is required before completing the return
  • Select Continue to save
  • Custom Credits may be added for reporting purposes, reminders for yourself, etc

To add IP Addresses to your Office Whitelist from the Configuration menu:

  • Click Select next to Office IP Whitelist
  • Type in the IP address and select +Add 
  • Please note: IP Addresses added to this section will be the only IP Addresses allowed to access the program. It is advised to only set this configuration if you have a Static IP Address or a local technician available to assist in the setup.

To create Question Templates from the Configuration menu:

  • Click Select next to Question Templates
  • Select +Add to Add Question 
  • Add the Question and determine if it is required to be answered
  • Select +Add to Add Answer 
  • Please Note: These questions can cover anything for marketing purposes, required for preparers to answer before completing a return, etc
  • Click Save

To create Tags from the Configuration menu:

  • Click Select next to Tags
  • Select +Add to Add Tag 
  • Please Note: Tags are used for you to easily search for returns, to leave notes, etc
  • Click Save

To create Taxpayer Profiles from the Configuration menu:

  • Click Select next to Taxpayer Profiles
  • Select +Add to Add Taxpayer Profile 
  • Name the Profile, give Description, and select Tax Year
  • Search the Tax Form (Lookup) to find the forms you’d like to add to the profile 
  • Please Note: These profiles are for you to easily complete tax returns if you have many of the same clients. EX: If you know that almost every tax return you create is going to be for a retired taxpayer, you can create a Taxpayer Profile to include Forms 1099-R, SSA-1099, RRB-1099, etc. The program will prompt these forms first instead of you jumping to every location.
  • Click Save
