Form 1040-V – Payment Voucher

Form 1040-V, Payment Voucher is a statement that your client may send with a check or money order when paying a balance due on the “Amount you owe” line of the tax return. Using Form 1040-V allows processing of the payment to be more accurate and efficient. This form generates in the program pre-filled with the full balance due for this tax return, however this amount can be changed if the taxpayer elects to pay a lesser amount. Keep in mind, to avoid late filing fees and penalties, the full balance due must be paid by the return due date.

To enter an amount on the Form 1040-V in Keystone Tax Solutions Pro, from the Main Menu of the Tax Return (Form 1040) select:

  • Payments, Estimates & EIC
  • Payment Voucher
