Backup Returns – The program automatically backs up all returns to your local hard drive or whichever backup path you specified during the initial configuration. Use the backup returns option to backup a specific client or multiple clients to a flash drive or other removable storage devices.

Recall Returns – Use this option to recall a return or returns from a removable storage device such as a flash drive. All returns on the removable drive will appear in a pick list. You can choose to select a specific client to recall or you can recall all clients by selecting Check All.

Repair Tax Return Pick List – The only time you will need to go into this menu is if a Support Technician advises you to. If you ever receive a database error this is one area in the program where the problem can be resolved. In most cases if an error of that nature is received it is best to call Technical Support.

Remove a Business Return – Type in the EIN of the business return to remove the return from the program. If you select YES the tax return for this client will be completely removed from the data files.

NOTE: If you are using a Network you will be asked “Would you also like to remove the Return for XXX – XX – XXXX from the Network Backup”. Generally, you should answer YES to this question.


Edit Detailed Business Client Letter – In this menu you can add, delete, or change the wording of the business client letter to better suit your needs. Once the letter is changed, the new letter will adjust for all of your clients. Do not change the wording in brackets as this information is pulled from the databases located in the program. If you change the client letter and are not satisfied with the results, you may set it back to the default letter, by selecting “Reset Detailed Client Letter to Default”.

Edit Detailed K-1 Letter – Similar to the Business Client Letter, you can change the wording of the K-1 Letters to better suit your needs.

Print Mailing Labels – This option will allow you to print mailing labels using the Avery 5160 or an equivalent label that is three across and ten down on a sheet of paper.

Individual K-1 Labels can be printed from inside of the 1065 or 1120S tax return by selecting View Results Print K-1 Labels.


Print Beginning Balances on Schedule L – If you would like for beginning balances print on Schedule L (balance sheet), toggle this question to YES.


Change Corporation / S-Corporation Types – Changes the entity status of a corporation return to an S-Corporation return and vice-versa. When this option is used to change the entity type of a Corporation or S-Corporation return, only basic company and heading information will be transferred to the new return.


Re-pull Prior Year Business Returns – If you made changes to a prior year business return after pulling forward the return to the current tax program, you can use this option to re-pull the return. Note: If you re-pull the prior year return, any information that was entered in the current year return will be overwritten.
