E-File Print Reports Menu

The Print Reports menu under the E-file Menu contains several standard electronic filing and bank product related reports that are received from the IRS, the states, and Keystone Tax Solutions Pro bank partners. These reports are retrieved whenever you connect to the Keystone Tax Solutions Pro servers, either to transmit returns or to receive acknowledgements. To access the E-File Print Menu, from the main menu of the program select:

  • E-File
  • Print Reports

Transmission Confirmation: The Transmission Confirmation Report confirms that a transmission was received by the Keystone Tax Solutions Pro server. You will receive this report immediately after each successful transmission of returns. The transmission confirmation report lists the SSN and last name of all of the returns contained in the transmission. We recommend that this report be printed for your files after each transmission. If you do not receive a transmission confirmation report after e-filing a return or extension, Keystone Tax Solutions Pro may not have received your transmission.

IRS Acknowledgements: The IRS Acknowledgement Report indicates whether a federal return has been accepted or rejected by the IRS. If a return has been rejected, the explanation provided by the IRS will also be printed on the report. (A description of the reject can also be viewed in Client Status.)

State Acknowledgements: The State Acknowledgement Report indicates state returns that have been accepted or rejected by the state. Most states provide reject code explanations and allow for the return to be re-transmitted after corrections have been made to the return. (A description of the reject can also be viewed in Client Status.

Invalid Returns: Tax returns go through a series of validation tests when they are electronically filed and reach the Keystone Tax Solutions Pro server. Occasionally, tax returns fail validation and are not able to be sent to the IRS. The Invalid Returns Report lists all returns that fail validation. An explanation of the validation error will also be printed on the report. Invalid returns must be corrected and re-transmitted in order to be sent to the IRS.

Bank Reports will vary depending on which of Keystone Tax Solutions Pro’s banking partners you are enrolled with.

Bank Receipts: The Bank Receipts Report notifies you of any bank applications that were received at the bank level. The bank application has been accepted by the bank for the taxpayers listed on the report.

Bank Disbursements: The Bank Disbursements Report is a list of checks that are available to print. After the bank disbursement report is printed, you will be able to print a check for each of the clients on the list.

Bank Fee Deposits: The bank fee deposits report displays a list of your preparation fees that have been deposited into your bank account by your Keystone Tax Solutions Pro banking partner. The clients listed on the report will automatically be marked as paid on related Keystone Tax Solutions Pro reports.

Bank Funding: The bank funding report displays a list of clients when IRS has funded their accounts. It indicates that the IRS has deposited the client’s refund and after processing, the client will receive their refund.

Bank Rejects: The bank rejects report displays a list of rejected bank applications. The rejects must be corrected and the application must be resubmitted.

Message Center: This is not a report but a shortcut to the Message Center to read any high importance messages that may have been received.

Additional/Old Reports: The Additional/Old Reports Menu contains an archive of previously received reports. Each of the above reports can be reprinted, specifying the desired date range.
