The 401(k) Analysis tool can be used to evaluate your client’s current 401(k) plan. The evaluation will give them an idea of the expected value of their 401(k) plan in a specified number of years. The evaluation is designed to assist your client in planning for retirement by showing them how their 401(k) plan will increase over time. The amounts calculated are estimates, based on the information you have entered.
To complete the 401(k) analysis, from the Main Menu of the Tax Return (Form 1040) select:
- Miscellaneous Forms
- 401(k) Analysis
- Fill in each box with the applicable amount or percentage. When you
have entered an amount in each box, select the Calculate button.
