If a payment was made with an automatic extension request filed with either Form 4868 or Form 2350, the payment needs to be included on the Form 1040 when it is filed. Enter the amount paid with the extension request, whether by check, electronic funds withdrawal, or credit or debit card. If a credit card was used do not include the convenience fee charged.
To enter the amount paid with an automatic extension request in Keystone Tax Solutions Pro, from the Main Menu of the Tax Return (Form 1040) select:
- Payments, Estimates & EIC
- Amount Paid With Extension
