Changing The Date That Prints On The Tax Return

There are various ways you can change the printed date that appears on the tax forms.  These date settings will automatically pull to the state return.

To select a default date setting for your program, from the Main Menu of Keystone Tax Solutions select:

  • Configuration
  • Printer/Copies Setup
  • Advanced Print Setup
  • Select the option to default your program to Date Printed on Forms for Preparer or Date Printed on Forms for Client(s)

There are three options to choose from on the next menu:

  1. Process Date – The date the return was marked complete in the TaxSlayer Pro program.
  2. Current Date – (Your computer system date) – Verify this date at the bottom right hand corner of your taskbar or from your windows control panel settings
  3. Leave Blank

     – Will not print a date in the date field.

If you are working in a return and want to edit the date being printed on the tax forms, from the Main Menu of the Tax Return (Form 1040) select:

  • Personal Information
  • Other Categories
  • Print Date (Enter the date you would like to print on the tax forms)
