To install the TaxSlayer Pro program from a CD, complete the following steps:
- Close any programs that are currently running on your computer.
- Insert the disk into the CD Rom drive. If it does not start automatically, open the Computer Management Screen (My Computer or Computer depending on the computer’s operating system).
- Double-click your CD-ROM drive.
- Once the program loads, select Continue.
- Select Continue again.
- Select Install TaxSlayer Pro to begin the installation of the TaxSlayer Pro software.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the download and installation.
- Re-start your computer. The lines and characters may NOT appear on the tax forms until your computer is re-started.
NOTE: If you are running anti-virus software or a firewall in the background, be sure that you select ‘Allow’ or ‘Permit’ or ‘Unblock’ if prompted to do so to allow the TaxSlayer Pro program files to download and install.
