If you wish to print tax returns to PDF manually, you will first need to download and install the most recent Adobe Reader. To configure print settings for printing to PDF in the Keystone Tax Solutions program, from the Main Menu of Keystone Tax Solutions select:
- Configuration
- Printer/Copies Setup
- Printer Setup
- Edit Printer Preferences
- Change Menu Options 4-6 to “Yes” depending on how and where you would like to print to pdf.
To save a pdf copy of a tax return, from the main menu of the tax return (Form 1040) select:
- View Results
- Print Return – Select the print option that you wish to use from the list of available print options.
- The pdf will generate, select File, Save As and select the location in which to save the file
NOTE: This will not be an encrypted PDF and you are subjecting your client to identity fraud in the event the email gets delivered to the wrong email address or in the wrong hands.
