The Client List, or Pick List, is an index of all the returns you have created. Occasionally, this index may be corrupted, causing the Client List to not display all the returns that have been created or perhaps not display any returns at all. When this occurs, repairing the index usually solves the problem.
It’s possible that not all returns that you expect to see in the Client List aren’t showing because a column filter has been set. With the Client List open, select the Clear Filters button and see if it changes, showing the return(s) previously missing.
Additionally, before repairing the index it’s important to have all the states installed that are on the returns. Run Updates, installing any states showing in red that are needed for the returns you have created.
After having done the above two steps, to repair the Client List, from the main menu of Keystone Tax Solutions Pro select:
- Utilities
- Repair Tax Return Pick List
- You will be asked if all the states represented in your returns have been installed. Select YES.
The repair process may take a few seconds or a few minutes, depending on how many returns you have created. Once it finishes, return to the Client List and verify that the returns you expect to see are there. If the Client List still does not appear as you expect, contact Customer Support for further assistance.
Repairing the Backup Pick List
This repair command is performed on the Client List on the secondary backup drive, if there is one. Don’t use this command unless instructed to do so by Keystone Tax Solutions Pro Technical Support.
